Help for VoyaMate on Android.

Enable automatic travel detection in VoyaMate and grant location access. Detection while the app is closed also requires “Allow all the time” or background location on current Android versions. Battery-saving restrictions imposed by Android or the device manufacturer can delay background events. You can always add a journey manually.

Photos need a capture date and GPS metadata. Grant access to photos and, if Android offers it separately, original media location. VoyaMate matches countries locally; the device's Android Geocoder may use a network connection to obtain a readable place name.

The Android map is rendered with MapLibre and loads its style, tiles, symbols and fonts online. Check your internet connection. Saved journeys remain in the local database even if the base map cannot be loaded.

First set a backup password of at least eight characters, choose “Connect to Google Drive”, and allow VoyaMate to access its private app-data area. The backup is encrypted on your device before upload. Restoring requires the same password and the appropriate Google Account.

Install the app through an active Google Play test or its public store listing and use an eligible tester account. APKs installed directly from Android Studio may not receive product details from Google Play. Android and Apple purchases are not matched.

Text recognition runs through ML Kit on the device. Input images and recognized text are not sent to Google servers for recognition. An identity-document capture is discarded after recognition; optional document numbers are encrypted with Android Keystore.

Travel expenses can be exported as PDF or CSV. You can also create a password-protected ZIP containing readable tables, JSON data and imported travel documents, or an encrypted local backup. Paid packages can store an encrypted backup in Google Drive's private app-data area.

Delete journeys, expenses, documents, identity documents and places in their respective app sections. Deleting an identity document also removes its protected document number. Local app data is deleted when you uninstall the app; files you exported yourself and Drive backups must be managed at their storage location or through your Google Account.
